Assador was once, long before a time of history, a divine lord of justice and paragon of truth. Not much is know of these early days, nor the nature of the divine, but his image was that of a noble knight and righteous warrior. His even-handed judgement was renowned and true. But during the Time of Turmoil, his definitions of what-should-be and what-was-not were challenged, to the extent that he took it upon himself to become the judicator of those who suffered most. Upon himself, he took the mantle of the suffering and embodied that of a vindicator. He stepped out of his domain to challenge the order of the age, and was met with conflict.
His divine brethren reprimanded his zeal, pushed back on his offerings. They stripped him of his titles and dominions as he had overstepped his purpose. He became the face of loss and punishment amongst a world filled with injustice, pain and inexplicable duality. Confusion replaced order and chaos overruled the laws that once were.
Deciding to take matters into his own hands Assador ventured to the realms of the unknown. He searched the cosmos for options, from the deepest places on Myrth, out toward the edge of creation and the Void beyond it's edge. Through his searching, he learned of an artifact called The Scrolls of Creation. Lost amid the Void and the Outer Planes, Assador learned of a power even greater than that of the divine, a power so great that even the beings who created the universe could not contain or control it. He learned that the cosmos contained within itself Thirteen Seals of Being, each a pillar upon which the cosmos is built.
Assador's will and intentions drove him to seek out the Seals. It is said that he stumbled upon enough rumours that he was able to locate one after many years of searching. The one seal he found could not be manifested physically and it's presence made know only through the thin veils between realms.
Unable to harness the power he sought, the Dark Lord lashed out with his own power. His eons of suffering manifesting phisically. His cry resounded through the planes of existence and hammered through the cosmos. In his agony he didn't know how close he came. The seal began to vibrate from his cry, drinking in his essences, and began to unfold. Blindly calling forth it's power the Void engulfed him, swollowed him whole. He thrashed, disseminating his own being and throwing himself into the depths.
What happened in the moments to follow is unknown. It is believed that Assador came too close to releasing the seal in full, and so the cosmos was rewritten in that instant to accommodate his action. His physical form scarred and his mind was broken. No longer did he yearn for justice. Only his suffering remained. And it cam to embody his very soul.
Some believe that his agony is a penance for dabbling with the powers of creation. Others believe that he succeeded in discovering the truth about the Seal. What is certain, that on that day, he became the true Fallen One.
